Okay, now we have a new guide, iPhone Dev Team members released a new tool called CLl, for Windows users, since Absinthe isn’t ready yet to jailbreak A5 devices on Windows.
A5 users, you can jailbreak your iPhone 4S untethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0.1 and iOS 5.0 but those of iPad 2 users only iOS 5.0.1. So that, make sure that you’v updated your iDevices and have created a backup in iTunes okay, before proceeding.
CLI tool is meant for advanced users. There’s a chance that you will mess things up if you’re not exactly sure of what you’re doing. We will teach you the whole process in the simplest way possible, but its up to you if you want to jailbreak iPhone 4S, iPad 2 untethered on Windows right now or wait until Absinthe for Windows is released.
How To Jailbreak iPhone 4S / iPad 2 Untethered iOS 5.0.1 On Windows
Step 1: Download CLI 0.4.3 for Windows and unzip the package in root directory such as C:
Step 2: Go to Start menu and click on Run
Step 3: Type CMD.exe
Step 4: Type without quotes: “cd cinject_0.4.3″
Step 5: Execute command: “cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig” [Execute command means write in CMD.exe what's written inside quotes, without quote signs]
Step 6: Approve Install request on your device. Next > Next > Finish, no need to enter password
Step 7: Execute command: “cinject.exe -j payloads” Wait for backup
Step 8: Execute command: “cinject.exe -w”
Step 9: Run Absinthe app from device Home screen. If you get error establishing database connection error then launch Settings.app on your device and turn on VPN settings
