Yesterday Dev Team released Absinthe for Mac users and we followed the jailbreak with some fixes, and the jailbreak worked very well, most of you enjoyed Cydia tweaks with their jailbroken iPhone 4S and iPad 2, others who didn’t jailbreak the A5 devices with Absinthe here you are the full video guide below, or another way using CLl tool provided by Dev Team, posted here.
Absinthe tool by Greenpois0n is out for Windows users, to makes you able to jailbreak your iPhone 4S with [iOS 5.0 - iOS 5.0.1 Untethered] and iPad 2 [iOS 5.0.1 Untethered]
How To Jailbreak iPhone 4S & iPad 2 Untethered iOS 5.0.1 On Windows
- Download iTunes from here.
- Download Greenpois0n Absinthe 0.2 for Windows from here.
- Download iPhone 4S 5.0 (9A334), 5.0.1 (9A405) or 5.0.1 (9A406).
Download iPad 2 5.0.1 (9A405)
STEP 1: Backup your iDevice and restore it using the iOS 5.0.1 or 5.0 IPSW file downloaded from links above.
STEP 2: Plug in your device that you want to jailbreak.
STEP 3: Now open GreenPois0n Absinthe and make sure that your device is detected then hit the jailbreak button.
STEP 4: Then follow the simple steps on the screen and you’ll get the untethered jailbreak, and Enjoy!
Update: Fix “Error Establishing a Database Connection” While Jailbreaking with Absinthe
Simply go to Settings > General > Network > VPN > ON. And sure you will not see this error message again.
Update: Fix Camera Roll Error After Jailbreaking iPhone 4S And iPad 2
You can do so, simply by rerunning the jailbreak on the your iDevice.
